  • loser pay - not a bad idea. Not sure it's constitutional though - someone can now be prevented from seeking redress. socialized medicine - it's socialized insurance we're talking about, not socialized medicine.

  • protectthekids : I'm sure that's part of it. I've had long waits in the ER as well ... at Kaiser. Ridiculous billing. Doctors engaging in business on the side etc.

  • It is in Rush's financial interest to have the Dems in power so he has a target to attack, and an audience to captivate. So as a Dem, I say let Rush do what he's doing. If a Palin type came to power, who will he blame then?

  • None of my English/Canadian/European friends want an US-style health care system in their country. I wonder ... why is that? US style is the best, isn't it?? Don't get me wrong ... US health care facilities/equipment/procedures are among the best, if not THE best, in the world ...

  • "Everyone wants a gov't paycheck. When I'm 65, there won't be one." There won't an industry paycheck either. The jobs will be offshored. The big boys in Wall St. don't like employing American geezers.
